Luis Ventura, D.D.S

General Dentistry

Why did you decide to become a dental professional?

Growing up, going to my dental appointments was a nerve-wracking experience. I was terrified of the procedures. However, as I asked my dentist more questions, I developed more interest in my oral health and in the field of dentistry. After exploring the dental field with my local dentist, my fears turned into curiosity, and I quickly realized how dentistry is not all about teeth.

Dentistry allows time and space for patient relationships, health education, mentorship, service, and emotional and physical healing combined with art and science. This rare mix, paired with the opportunity to help patients achieve their oral health goals, assured me that I could fulfill my purpose through dentistry.

Where did you attend school?

Loyola Marymount University - UCLA School of Dentistry - UCLA AEGD Residency

Tell us about your residency and any continuing education?

After graduating from dental school, I completed an additional year of training to offer more extensive, efficient, and high-quality dental care to my patients. Through this training, I treated a variety of patients with complex medical histories, strengthened my hand skills, and learned and applied some of the newest technologies and techniques available in dentistry today.

Currently, I am consistently involved in continuing education courses covering a broad range of topics to keep up-to-date with the emerging science in dentistry.
